#4 Reasons You Shouldn't Join PPS Gym

At PPS, we want to help as many ‘Non Gym People’ as possible. However, we understand that everybody is different, and due to our unique training approach, we can’t always be the best fit for everyone.

To help you decide if we are the best fit to help you with your health and fitness goals, here are some reasons not to join our Perth based private personal training gyms:


Reason #1: You're only after a 24/7 gym membership

PPS is a private personal training gym. We only offer access to our Coaching clients. Think of us as Personal Trainers with a Gym, not a Gym that provides access to the public - with Personal Trainers on the side.

If you are seeking just a 24/7 gym, want to train on your own, and can hold yourself accountable, PPS won’t be the right fit - a regular commercial gym would be a better fit for you.

Reason #2: You have goals or limitations that are outside our scope

We have the skills and expertise to help a vast range of everyday people in the gym. However, if you have a goal or limitation that is outside our scope as personal trainers, we may not be the best fit for you.

Some examples could be a goal that we aren’t suited toward or where another professional may be the best fit, such as rehabbing a severe injury or working through an eating disorder.

However, we are open to working alongside health professionals to take a collaborative approach toward your goals in the gym.

Reason #3: You want to take a drastic approach to see results in the gym

Unsustainable training and nutrition practices are against our values as personal trainers.

We want to help people build healthy habits and see lasting results. We don’t believe this is possible by overtraining, eating a dangerously low amount of calories, restricting food groups or following other popular diet fads/trends.

If you want to follow an unsustainable approach to see fast results, PPS may not be the best gym for you

Reason #4: No Cardio or Burpees.

Cardiovascular health is important, and Cardio is good for you.

As Perth Personal Trainers, we focus on helping everyday people with strength-based goals as we believe strength training is the best use of your time with us in the gym.

We don’t believe uncontrolled high-impact movements (like burpees) are the best types of exercises for everyday people - hence, we don’t perform them at PPS. If your goals are cardio-based, you prefer HIIT training, or you like to do burpees then PPS may not be the best gym in Perth for you.
